Not every Rastafarian is against Kofi Kinaata’s Reggae song award
Abdul Razak Issahaku known in the Ghanaian showbiz industry as Iwan Suhyini has said he’s not against other artistes like Kofi KInaata winning Reggae Song of the Year.
He said despite the fact that some people were not happy that Kofi Kinaata won the reggae category at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, he doesn’t have a problem.
In an interview on Cape Coast-based Property FM, Iwan Suhyini said Kofi Kinaata’s Effiakuma Love truly deserves the award and qualifies as such.
He remarked “In terms of other artistes coming from other genres to win an award in the reggae and dancehall category, I don’t see it as a problem.
“If only that the song qualifies to be a genre in that category I don’t have a problem so it’s not every Rastafarian that are angry at Kofi Kinaata for winning the Reggae Song of the Year.
“Some of us listen to music and follow music so if the song qualifies to be awarded I think it’s just proper for Effiakuma Love to win that award,” he posited.
