NPP is a political party that hates creatives—Fred Nuamah
Movie Maker and Founder of the defunct Ghana Movie Awards, Fred Nuamah is of the firm view that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) hates creatives.
According to him, the party does not allow creatives in their political party the space to win elections and climb up the ladder.
He cited persons like Obour, Mark Okraku Mantey, Claudia Lumour, and others who were not given the opportunity to represent their people in Parliament.
To him, the NPP’s fight for the Tema Central Seat and Okaikwei Central is also an indication that the political party hates creatives.
He indicated that clearly, the National Democratic Congress has demonstrated its love for the creative space by ensuring that some creatives are given the opportunity to represent their people and get their voices heard.
“The NPP does not like creatives that is why they contest for seats and do not allow people in the space the opportunity to also represent their people. Even in the just-ended election, they have shown that they don’t like creatives because they are fighting Baba Sadiq and Ebi Bright over seats that they have won. It is not fair and they need to end that hate for creatives,” he said on Accra-based United Television.
