OG Maco’s posthumous album pays tribute to his legacy
The legacy of OG Maco continues to resonate with fans as a posthumous album, Legends Live Forever 2, is officially released, offering a heartfelt tribute to his life and artistry.
The announcement, shared by OG Maco’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, emphasizes the project to honour his memory and support his family.
“We are honoured to share new music from OG Maco, a tribute to his legacy and a way to keep his spirit alive,” the post read. “This release is dedicated to the fans who have supported him through every chapter of his journey, and we’re proud to announce that all proceeds will go directly to his family.”
The account further thanked Kino Beats, a long-time collaborator and producer, for his integral role in bringing the project to fruition. It was revealed that the album is a precursor to a larger body of work currently in development—a full album designed to celebrate OG Maco’s influence and artistry on a grander scale.
Acknowledging the significance of this release, the post also announced plans for a private memorial to honour Maco with his close circle. Fans have been encouraged to cherish this project as a meaningful piece of Maco’s enduring legacy.
“Thank you for your unwavering support, your heartfelt condolences, and the love you continue to show OG Maco. His impact and influence will live forever. LEGENDS LIVE FOREVER,” the message concluded.
The release of Legends Live Forever 2 not only highlights OG Maco’s lasting contribution to music but also serves as a poignant reminder of the bond between artists and their fans. It’s a testament to how the power of creativity and connection can transcend even the greatest loss.
Rapper OG Maco died two weeks after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The deceased, 32, who was best known for his song “U Guessed It,” passed away surrounded by his family Thursday night at a Los Angeles hospital, according to TMZ.
