“Over Again” resurgence teaches lesson of excellence in making music – Edem

Ghanaian rapper Edem, born Denning Edem Hotor says the renewed popularity of his song Over Again, more than a decade after its release, has taught him an important lesson about the value of excellence in music production.

Speaking on Angel FM in Kumasi monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the musician revealed that the track, which was released about 12 years ago, is currently experiencing a resurgence and has become one of the most sought-after songs again.

“I am surprised myself that it is now the most sought-after song. I feel great about it,” Edem said.

According to him, the renewed attention the song is receiving has reinforced the idea that musicians must prioritise quality and excellence when recording, even if the results are not immediate.

“This has taught me that ensuring excellence in work is important. The reward might not be immediate but later it will,” he explained.

Edem noted that the experience serves as a reminder to musicians that good music can stand the test of time, and that dedication to quality during the creative process can pay off, even years after a song is released.
