Papa Shee disrespected Otumfuo by announcing a new date for Lumba’s funeral—Abusuapanin
Daddy Lumba’s family head, Kofi Owusu, has expressed worry over Papa Shee’s consistent confusion about the late musician’s funeral.
According to him, Papa Shee has displayed gross disrespect for the King of the Ashanti Kingdom by announcing his own date for the late Daddy Lumba’s funeral.
To the family head, December 13 continues to be the date for the funeral of the late music legend.
“We proposed December 6, but with all that was going on and the fact that Ernestina Fosuh was asking for another postmortem, Otumfuo added a week. So we settled on December 13. However, I have heard that Papa Shee has announced his own date.
It is shocking that someone who is not a member of our family and has no say in Lumba’s life will be engaging in disrespect for the Otumfuo and his chiefs. The palace has selected a date, and you will come and say otherwise. He is creating confusion. If you know Serwaa and you’re fighting for Serwaa, you should not create confusion. If you have a problem with Lumba, you should know that he has wives and he needs to respect that fact and stop the confusion,” he told the media.
Abusuapanin indicated that the children of Daddy Lumba are coming, adding that seven are already in town and because of that the funeral can take place.
