Ghanaian international gospel musicians, Mr Sonnie Badu has said men of God and musicians are the most depressed people on earth.
That he said was because they cannot air their views without being criticized heavily by the people whom they serve.
Mr Badu, a pastor at the RockHill Church, in the United State of America and a musician said the situation had pushed many of them into drugs.
“A lot of genuine pastor’s / musicians cannot talk, because society will hit them hard. But believe me when I tell you – that the most depressed people of earth are pastors and musicians. That’s why some turn to drugs...”
“See there is nothing as painful as you own family, your own inner circle, your own Pastors, protocols, and members you have sacrificed so much for throwing you under the bus. Some children you take as your own – grow and make you feel like you are not their father or mother. Some people you invest in will kick you – because they want to be like you… Yet, we have to stand and minister to you,” he bemoaned.
The Ghanaian gospel sensation made the comment in an Instagram post on sighted by GhanaPlus.com on Wednesday, April 05, 2021.
The Baba hit maker described the pastoral and musician journey as a lonely one and admonished Christians to show love to their pastors.
“Hear me and hear me well.. If your pastor have been a blessing to you, reach out to him or her and love them dearly… The road is lonely…,” he said.
