Omotola Jalade has provided insight into the pressures of being a female star in Nollywood, explaining how media narratives often exaggerate rivalries.

The actress addressed persistent rumors of a feud with Genevieve Nnaji during an interview.

“You know how industry be. Everybody is doing their thing, and they will pit you against this person, talk say that girl be the hottest girl, now that one be the hottest girl,” Omotola said.

“Those kinds of tensions happened, but the individual, me, you won’t see me quarrel. I’m not always around for that.”

She also contrasted the approach of her generation with newer stars in music and film, noting that today’s artists are often encouraged to dramatize conflicts for publicity.
