Police hunt for Shatta Wale over GOG Album publicity stunt
Self-acclaimed Ghanaian Dancehall King Charles Nii Armah Mensah known widely as Shatta Wale appears to be playing some sort of hide and seek with personnel of the Ghana Police Service who are combing everywhere for him.
Some sources believe the musician instigated the publicity stunt to promote his upcoming GOG Album. He stands likely to be charged with causing fear and panic under the public order act.
The musician barely a fortnight after being busted for allegedly faking a win in sports bet it is gathered tried using the latest popularity stunt to stay relevant but it appears it has also backfired considering the two accounts given by his PA and himself.
Whereas Nana Dope claimed his boss had been shot and was currently at an unknown hospital receiving treatment on Monday night cautioning some persons purportedly circulating bloody videos to stop, Shatta Wale himself claimed he was on the run.
The two conflicting reports especially when Nana Dope was begging for prayers for his boss leaves much to be desired as no trace has been made of the facility in which the musician was taken to and the location.
An official police statement on the incident reads in part “Over the last few hours, the Police have searched and continue to look for Shatta Wale at hospitals in Accra. Whilst we continue our investigations, the Police is appealing to the public to provide any information concerning the whereabouts of Shatta Wale”
