Polluted water from galamsey affects everyone

Dr. Pounds, a radio presenter at Hitz FM in Accra has said the menace about polluted water from galamsey is a national issue which has no political colour.

“In this country, they should do what is right and allow us to have our peace of mind but if the politicians want they can chop our money but safeguard our water,” he remarked.

He told Amansan Krakye, “This water issue is a national thing and water is not only being consumed by one political party so it affects everybody irrespective of your party we all drink the polluted water”.

Dr. Pounds revealed how his tap looked like a cocoa drink after he opened it to take his bath when sharing his experience about our polluted water on radio.

“When I came to Cape Coast, I had an apartment which I left when going to Accra so I decided to open my tap and take my bath this morning.

“When I opened the tap to get water, I think for the first five minutes all the water that came was like a cocoa drink and if I brought bread I would have enjoyed tea,” he revealed.
