Read contracts carefully – Becca counsels colleague artistes
As most musicians and movie stars struggle to have a fair share of their hustle, some industry players especially record labels and managements tend to take advantage to milk them especially the new ones in the industry.
The situation has compelled most of them to part ways with either their management or record labels they worked with.
Some female stars have also alleged sexual abuse from their male managers.
However, in finding a solution to some of these problems, Rebecca Akosua Acheampong known by her stage name as Becca has counseled her fellow artistes especially new ones to read contracts and understand the terms and conditions before appending their signatures.
According to Becca refusal to read her contract with her first management was one of the things she would reconsider when given the node again.
“I would advise anybody to actually read contracts properly and see certain things that are in there, in terms of duration and all those things so that you would have a bigger say in certain things”, Becca said in an interview with Angel TV monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
The multiple award-winning singer revealed that, though she did not read her contract with her former management before signing, yet she was never cheated.
“I keep appreciating my former manager because I think they did a good job. However, as I say, there is always room for improvement”, she revealed.
I was given a contract to read however, I didn’t”.
