Regina Daniels says she was never legally married to Ned Nwoko
Regina Daniels has come out publicly to say that her union with Nigerian politician and businessman Ned Nwoko was never a legal marriage.
In a post shared on her Facebook page and sighted by MyNewsGh, the actress stated that there was no court ceremony or signed document between them, insisting she was never officially married.
“For the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us,” Regina wrote. “We were never married in any court of law, and no documents were signed.”
She urged Ned to stop trying to control her life and accept that the relationship has ended. “Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you,” she added.
Regina also addressed claims that she was battling drug addiction, describing it as a deliberate distraction from the real issues between them. “You rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media,” she said.
The actress accused Nwoko of trying to isolate her from her family and friends, saying he often seized her phones and accused her of being mentally unstable whenever she expressed a desire to leave.
