Reno, even the universe is against You – Ugezu Ugezu
Nollywood filmmaker and cultural advocate Ugezu J. Ugezu has delivered a scathing critique of former presidential aide Reno Omokri, accusing him of engaging in one of the dirtiest political campaigns in Nigerian history.
In a post shared via his Instagram page, Ugezu condemned Omokri’s persistent online efforts to discredit Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
“RENO, accepting the job to demarket PO online is the most dangerous job ever accepted by any mortal in the history of dirty politics in Nigeria. Even the universe is against you,” Ugezu wrote.
“You will not easily recover from the self-induced ruins. Woe to them who knoweth the truth, but refuseth to voice it.”
He signed off the strongly worded message with “THE MASQUERADE WRITES” before adding a note of brotherhood, calling for unity: “One Love… One Africa.”
Reno Omokri is a Nigerian lawyer, author, and political activist who served as a Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
He is known for his controversial political commentary, strong presence on social media, and advocacy on governance and African development.
In recent years, Reno has come under heavy criticism for his frequent attacks on Peter Obi, whom many view as a rising force in Nigeria’s political landscape.
While Omokri defends his posts as issue-based and rooted in fact, critics like Ugezu see his efforts as deliberate sabotage against a candidate who has garnered significant youth support.
