Sack Okraku Mantey for my snub – Shatta Wale to Akufo Addo
Dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah known by his stage name as Shatta Wale has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to sack Deputy Minister of Tourism Hon Mark Okraku Mantey for not featuring him at the Global Citizen Music Concert held weeks ago.
Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana, Shatta Wale chastised Mr. Okraku Mantey saying he could not insist on what would help his country at the concert but sat down for foreigners to decide for him on which musician to perform at the event.
“Like you (Mark Okraku) get a Global Concert and Mark Okraku Mantey can come and sit on TV and say the concert people decided not to feature me. A whole Deputy Minister can talk like this on National TV that the concert people decided? They came from wherever they came from and decided for you in your country? Are you serious? Look Mr President if you don’t sack him from office then we don’t know what you are telling us. He is not serious”, Shatta Wale told Paul Adom Okyere on the show monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
The SM boss also accused Mr Okraku Mantey and other media personality of sabotaging his career in the music industry.
“These are people when people come to Ghana and they say I want to work with Shatta Wale they will say Shatta Wale is difficult, he will beat you, he is a wee smoker. Those are the things they portray to them. I hear people say people have come to Ghana they want to see me and they tell them these things”, Shatta Wale said.
