Shatta Wale beats Sarkodie and others to become the highest-paid musician in Ghana
Information available to MyNewsGH.com indicates that Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale has become the highest-paid musician on the list of Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) as he beats his colleagues in the industry.
“Shatta Walle is getting the highest share of the money”, Chairman of Ghana Music Right Organization Mr. Rex Owusu Marfo well known as Rex Omar has said.
Shatta Wale beats other big artistes like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Samini among others to make it to the top.
Speaking to Hammer Nti on Kumasi-based radio Pure FM on the programme “Hammer Time” in an interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com, Rex Omar said he is also surprised to see some new artistes also making it to the top of their list.
When asked who is the highest-paid artiste on their list, Rex Omar revealed saying, “Shatta Wale is getting the highest”.
It is unclear how much Shatta Wale is going to receive this time as the first on the list since Rex Omar did not make that known.
Meanwhile Shatta Wale has earlier revealed that, since he started his music career, he has only received GHC 2,000 from GHAMRO.
