Shatta Wale invited me to Ghana to disgrace me — Nigerian TikToker Big Jiggy cries out
Nigerian TikTok personality Big Jiggy has shared an emotional account of what he describes as a “disheartening” experience with his long-time idol Shatta Wale, following his appearance at Shatta Fest in Accra.
The content creator, who has spent years promoting Shatta Wale’s music across Nigeria, said he expected a warm reception after being personally invited to perform.
“I just feel like from the way he sings, his energy is like mine. I look at him as a godfather someone who guides me,” Jiggy said. “This love was real, man. I’m heartbroken, I’m hurt.”
He claimed that despite being promised proper treatment, things took a different turn when he arrived. “What I experienced was not what I was told. It’s like everything was a setup. I was invited only to be embarrassed,” he stated in a video sighted by MyNewsGh.com
Jiggy clarified that his mood at the event reflected his disappointment. “Even my whole mood in the show, it was down. People thought I was jealous, but I wasn’t. I have everything I need in life; I just expected respect.”
He went on to express that the disconnect between Shatta Wale’s songs and his actions left him feeling betrayed. “From his lyrics, you’d think he’s a real one. But what I saw was the opposite. Shatta didn’t act like what he sings about.”
The influencer ended by saying that despite his heartbreak, his love for Ghana and its music scene remains. “I’ve been coming to Ghana for years, not for clout, but for genuine love. I just didn’t expect it to end like this.”
