She vexed me, that’s why I spoke out – Medikal on Fella Makafui fallout
Rapper Medikal has opened up about his views on relationships, marriage, and life as a father during his appearance on the Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast monitored by MyNewsGH.
The conversation touched on his past, including his highly publicized fallout with ex-wife Fella Makafui, his thoughts on moving forward, and his approach to parenting.
Reflecting on his breakup with Fella Makafui, Medikal admitted that emotions ran high after the split, leading him to speak publicly about the situation.
“She did something that vexed me. That’s why I came out to say certain things. It wasn’t to spoil her business or reputation.
“I was just hurt at the time,” he shared candidly, adding that his intentions were never to tarnish her image but rather a reaction to feeling betrayed.
When asked about the possibility of remarrying, Medikal expressed a relaxed outlook. “Right now, I’m just chilling.
I want to be happy and make others happy too. If marriage happens again, fine, but it’s not by force. Some people date for 10 years, get married, and break up the following year. It’s about understanding, not just the title.”
On parenting, Medikal highlighted the joy his daughter Island has brought into his life, describing her as “one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to me.”
He emphasized his commitment to ensuring a positive upbringing for her while maintaining a sense of personal balance.
