Showboy claims he built AMG but was abandoned behind bars

Showboy has laid bold claim to the roots of AMG Business, one of Ghana’s most notable street-born labels, and expressed deep resentment toward those he says turned their backs on him.

According to him, AMG began when he met Criss Waddle and encouraged him to break away from the shadows of R2Bees.

“I told him, ‘Let’s come up with our own movement. I’ll manage you under AMG.’ That’s how AMG came about,” he revealed on 3Music TV monitored by MyNewsGh.

He says when Waddle stepped back, Medikal was introduced as the new face, and the team rallied behind him to push AMG to mainstream success.

However, everything changed when Showboy was jailed in the U.S.

“I was in prison. Nobody put a dollar on my books,” he said sharply. “Anybody I helped when I was doing good, they never held me down.”

Showboy claims this abandonment still hurts, even though he maintains limited respect for figures like Paeday of R2Bees.

“Love don’t cost nothing,” he said. “Why you scared to show love? You only get scared when you’re a criminal.”

Now rebuilding from scratch, he vows to focus only on those who genuinely stood with him: “I wasted my time building AMG. I got to start afresh.”
