Some event organizers only give me raw weed to perform – Blakk Rasta laments
Renowned Ghanaian Reggae artiste and media personality Blakk Rasta born Abubakar Ahmed has called out some event organizers for disrespecting him by offering him only weed after he has given an electrifying performance on stage.
“I come with a full band set to rock the people with full energy, two hours I’m on stage like a mad lion then I finish and you say all Rastaman need is weed. They give you raw weed and transport and tell you to go after the show”. Blakk Rasta lamented in an interview with Citi TV monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
According to him, this attitude by event organizers shows they have taken the Rasta for granted and must put an end to it.
“People have taken Rasta for granted for far too long”, he bemoaned
Blakk Rasta added that, the most painful aspect of the matter is that, the same organizers pay other artistes who only mime on stage more than GHC500k but when it gets to the turn of the Rasta, they deny him of what he duly deserves.
“They will call a certain ball head and pay this person GHc500k to come and mime”, he chided, adding that, “look I make some of the best songs in the world but wickedness and greed will let people gravitate towards you”.
