Something is not right – OAP Dotun expresses concern over 2Face Idibia’s apology video
Popular Nigerian on-air personality, Dotun, has raised serious concerns over a recent video shared by music icon 2Face Idibia, where the legendary singer publicly apologized for remarks he made during a podcast appearance.
2Face, known for his generally reserved nature, had earlier sparked online debate after stating that “a man cannot be sexually satisfied with only one woman.”
The comment, which drew both criticism and support, eventually prompted the singer to post a video apologizing to his wife, children, and fans for the hurt caused.
But Dotun, known professionally as Do2dtun, wasn’t convinced by the apology—at least not how it was delivered.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Dotun wrote:“Please I don’t like this 2face I’m seeing. Something is not right at all. He can express himself how he chooses to but why always make him retract a video or make an apology always like a child. He is vulnerable & someone is milking it. Whoever is holding that camera is wicked.”
Dotun went on to question the authenticity and frequency of such videos, suggesting that someone close to 2Face might be manipulating him.
“Someone is forcing him to be who he is not. 2face hardly addresses anything. Even in his worst of worst scandals. He never addresses anything like this. Something is wrong. He is regressing and I hate it.”
The OAP further added that the public shouldn’t be too quick to judge the singer based solely on his personal choices or mistakes:
“I don’t care what his personal life or choices caused for him cos that will be our 1st choice of defense.
“We all can’t judge him sometimes. He can’t be wrong all the time. Even if he is, I won’t replace the masterpiece he created for his mistakes. This isn’t looking good at all.”
