TGMA: Stonebwoy can’t be cowed from competing

Public Relations Manager for Burniton Music, Vida Adutwumwaa, is optimistic that Stonebwoy will retain the Artiste of the Year crown.

She explains that, unlike Sarkodie, who was cowed into not competing for laurels after winning it several times, Stonebwoy will continue to compete.

Vida Adutwumwaa was on Accra-based United Television’s United Showbiz when she made this known.

She used the opportunity to emphasize the need for competition in the industry rather than push people into early retirement just because they have achieved some success in the past.

“Let’s desist from saying some artistes have won in the past, so they should make way for others to also win. That destroys the competitiveness of the game; rather, they should ensure that artistes continue to churn out music that will put Ghana on the pedestal.”

“We won’t succumb to any form of pressure. We are breaking and setting records. We are winning it back-to-back. When you look at the work Stonebwoy put in we know we will win the ultimate,” she said.
