There was no feud – Omotola clarifies relationship with Genevieve Nnaji

Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade has addressed long-standing rumors of a feud with fellow actress Genevieve Nnaji, insisting that the claims have been largely exaggerated.

Speaking in an interview, Omotola clarified that the two never had a quarrel that lasted for decades.

“People don’t need to be best friends, but we talk, like behind film we talk normally, so I don’t know,” Omotola said.

“There was no quarrel. We were young, you know how the industry be.

“Everyone is doing their thing, and people try to pit you against one another, but I’ve never been somebody you can sit to quarrel with.”

Omotola further noted that while there were minor tensions fueled by media comparisons, these were never personal conflicts.

“Those kinds of tensions happened, yes, but people read them as something else. I’ve never seen a quarrel there,” she added.

The actress also highlighted their work together in films like Blood Sister and the recent Ije as evidence that they have maintained a professional and respectful relationship over the years.
