This must stop – I Go Save takes a stand against drug influence in music
Popular Nigerian comedian I Go Save has sparked a conversation about the role of the music industry in promoting drug use among young people.
In a bold statement, the comedian criticized the music scene for its influence, calling for an urgent change.
‘’The Music industry are sadly the largest promoters of the use of drûg$ to our younger generations. This has to stop now,” he said.
I Go Save whose real name Otaghware Otas Onodjayeke is a prominent Nigerian comedian, actor, and media personality hailing from Delta State, Nigeria.
Born on May 20, 1979, in Warri, Delta State, he attended Aileru Primary School and Essi Secondary School.
He furthered his education at the Polytechnic Auchi, studying painting and general art, and completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program at the University of Lagos.
I Go Save’s comedic journey began with performances at the “Nite of a 1000 Laughs” show, organized by Opa Williams, where he shared the stage with notable comedians like I Go Dye, Bovi, Basketmouth, and Ali Baba.
He is best known for his annual comedy event, “I Go Save Unusual,” which has successfully sold out venues across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and various parts of Europe.
