To succeed, Abla Dzifa Gomashie must be a mother for all—Kwaku Manu counsels
Actor Kwaku Manu has advised Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts Minister Designate Abla Dzifa Gomashie against partisan politics as she takes over the ministry.
He is of the view she should treat all industry persons equally regardless of their political leaning, and that is what will ensure her success as minister.
“As she comes to take over as minister, she must understand that her success will be built on her ability to deal with people regardless of their political background, which will be key. She should be a mother for all rather than discriminate on the line of political leaning. If she can treat everyone equally, she will chalk the needed success,” he said on Accra-based UTV.
He also mentioned that mostly, people who occupy the position are people who do not have a better appreciation of the industry, but this time around, she must endeavour to understand the industry very well in order to ascertain their needs and address them.
“There was a minister who was asked about FIPAG and she said what is FIPAG; an indication that she did not know the industry she was leading well. Even some of the players in the industry do not know the industry very well. So since she has been named Minister, it is my belief that she will learn more to have a better understanding of the industry and its needs in order to address them,” he stated.
