1. Sidney Poitier
Sidney Poitier was more than just an actor—he was a movement. In 1964, he became the first Black man to win an Academy Award for Best Actor for Lilies of the Field, a victory that opened doors for Black talent in leading roles. His powerful performances in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner and In the Heat of the Night challenged racial stereotypes and forced Hollywood to rethink its portrayal of Black men.
2. Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington redefined Black masculinity and versatility on screen. From his Oscar-winning performances in Glory and Training Day to critically acclaimed roles in Malcolm X and Fences, Washington has set an unparalleled standard for acting.
