Top presenter quits Asaase Radio after just 6 months
Celebrated Radio presenter, Lucas Candid Mensah popularly known as Candymann has quit Asaase Radio after working there for just six months.
The Cape Coast branch of the multimedia outlet, Asaase Radio which is owned by Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko was fully launched and started its operations in July 2022.
The well-known media celebrity in the Central Region who won the RTP Awards Personality of the Year in 2019 was poached by Dr. Kweku Oteng’s ABN Darling FM in August.
Many people were shocked and surprised when Candymann who has many years been known for hosting the late afternoon drive left his role at Darling FM to be the host of the evening after drive on Asaase Radio.
Exclusive reports reaching MyNewsGh.com from insiders at Asaase Radio in Cape Coast indicate that “he left because of personal reasons despite the massive upgrade in his monthly salary”.
Meanwhile, ongoing investigations about the next destination of Candymann in the media landscape show that he has taken up another mantle at Takoradi-based Maximum FM.
