Lilwin didn’t mince words when discussing the unexpected hiccup that nearly upended the casting for his movie A Country Called Ghana.

During an interview on Lawson FM with Kwame Tanko, Lilwin shared his disappointment with Van Vicker, who was originally slated for a key role in the movie but pulled out unexpectedly.

“Let me be honest, Van Vicker’s withdrawal was a huge letdown,” Lilwin revealed, his voice tinged with both frustration and determination.

“We had everything lined up, and his role was pivotal. But at the last moment, he just didn’t come through. It left us scrambling to fill the void.”

The unexpected setback forced Lilwin to think on his feet. With time running out and the production hanging in the balance, he made the bold decision to bring in Nigerian superstar Ramsey Nouah. “It wasn’t part of the plan, but desperate times call for bold moves,” Lilwin explained.

Securing Ramsey Nouah, however, came with a hefty price tag that Lilwin didn’t shy away from discussing. “Let me put it this way,” he said with a wry smile.

“The amount I paid Ramsey could cover the fees of every top Ghanaian star, and I’d still have change left over. It was a serious investment, but it had to be done.”
