VGMA: I knew from the unset that ‘Ewiase’ will get a nomination
Ghanaian singer, Kweku Flick born Andy Osei Sarfo has spoken about his hit song titled ‘Ewiase’ which got a nomination as Best Hiplife Song at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Speaking on Cape Coast-based Property FM during an interview with Amansan Krakye, Kweku Flick said he knew from the unset that his song had the potential to be nominated.
He said as seen by MyNewsGh.com “I knew from the unset that the Ewiase song has a potential to be nominated for the VGMA because the song has done exceedingly well and so I had that feeling.
“Since I have been nominated in the Best Hiplife Song category then it means I deserve to win the award because there are a lot of categories at the VGMA,” he added.
“But it was only Hiplife category that my song got a nomination meaning that the song fits Hiplife alone so being there means we have to channel all our energy into it.
“If I win the award at the VGMAs then inshallah we can only say thanks be to God,” he ended on Property FM’s showbiz program.
