VIDEO: It’s Illogical for women to divorce cheating husbands

A Ghanaian Marriage Counselor has ignited public controversy with his polarizing stance on marriage and infidelity during a conversation on Aseda FM.
His remarks, which many have labelled as one-sided and outdated, delved into gender dynamics within marriage, sparking an intense debate across various social media platforms.
The counselor, speaking with an air of conviction, argued that a woman should never consider divorce if she discovers her husband is cheating. According to him, “Men hold significant authority in a marriage because they pay the bride price and initiate the proposal. Walking away from a marriage over infidelity, especially when children are involved, is illogical for a woman.”
He further claimed that divorced women, particularly those with children, face a tougher time finding a new partner. “Most men won’t commit to a woman with multiple children. They may sleep with her, but they won’t marry her. Only a widower, and even then, one with just a few children of his own, might consider her,” he elaborated, doubling down on his controversial assertions.
In a move that left many listeners shocked, the counselor contradicted himself by advising men to divorce a cheating wife immediately, branding infidelity in women as a far graver offense. “A cheating wife will only bring trouble to the relationship. Men should end the marriage without hesitation, no matter her contributions,” he stated.
