VIDEO: My heart will always be NPP despite my Rawlings ties
Crowned as the music President of Ghana, Nana Kwame Ampadu revealed in his last public interview that he has a deep-rooted love for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) despite enjoying fruitful relations with the Rawlings’ family, MyNewsGh.com reports.
Nana Ampadu noted in his last interview on Kumasi-based Pure FM’s popular ‘Hammer Time’ entertainment program monitored by MyNewsGh.com that, he spent most of his days with ex-President Rawlings and his family sharing memorable moments with them but notwithstanding, he has an unadulterated love for the NPP and will continue to support the party to his grave.
“I was with Rawlings for 8 years but my love is for the NPP and will always be for the NPP.” Nana Ampadu told Hammer Nti on Pure FM.
Nana Kwame Ampadu, one of Ghana’s foremost musicians credited with numerous popular highlife tracks and known to have composed over 800 songs passed away yesterday after a short illness. He was 76 years old.
Until his demise, he mounted several campaign platforms for the NPP and composed political songs for them.
