Video: Shatta Wale’s State of the Industry Address

Vida Essel-LampteyThe much anticipated State of the Industry Address by celebrated Ghanaian dance hall artiste, Shatta Wale came off at his Shatta Movement Secretariat on Wednesday, June 2.
The address highlighted among others, his recent trip to the United State of America, conversations with investors ,collaboration with other renowned musician from the globe and general fall out from the trip which he described as a vacation trip.
He also addressed some challenges confronting the country’s entertainment sector and proposed solutions to address same.
In his address monitored by GhanaPlus.com, the My Level hit singer proposed the country identify one music genre that would be attributed to all works coming from the country.
His proposal, he said stem from questions raised by some investor on what genre the country was identified with.
He also proposed government invest at least 10 percent of resources spent on the country’s national football team, the Black Star of Ghana on the entertainment industry to help put Ghana music on the world map.
