We’re tired of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and others – Abrewa Nana as she stages a comeback
Ghanaian award-winning female Dancehall artiste Dorcas Opoku Dakwa known by her stage name as Abrewa Nana is begging Ghanaians across the globe to heap their support on her as she finally returns.
Abrewa Nana has been out of the music scene for at least a decade now. Undoubtedly, the name Abrewa Nana became a household name in the early 2000s at the early stage of Ghana’s music genre Hiplife.
With her unique style of Twi-ragga, she was able to conquer the “men” in the scene at the time. Her song, “Esisi Me So” which featured Africa’s best Dancehall artistes Samini won her numerous awards in her career.
However, Abrewa Nana speaking in an interview over the weekend with Hammar Nti on Pure FM revealed that she is finally returning into the game fully and would need support from fellow Ghanaians.
“Things are going to change. This time around things will have to change because we are all fed up from the Shatta Wale’s to the Stonebwoy, to the Samini to the Sarkodie. We are all tired”, she told Hammer Nti in her interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
The talented singer is of the view that it is about time Ghanaians put a stop to the habit of supporting few artistes to reach the apex without showing any concern for those struggling to get there.
