Why do Ghanaians avoid taxes but love gambling? – Blakk Rasta quizzes

Blakk Rasta has slammed Ghanaians for what he describes as a lack of civil responsibility, accusing them of prioritizing gambling over their financial obligations.

“How many Ghanaians pay their electricity and water bills after using them? Yet, a nauseous percentage of gamblers are unleashed on this nation,” he said on 3FM’s Urban Blend.

According to him, the country is experiencing misplaced priorities, where citizens refuse to pay for essential services but willingly throw their money into betting.

“Ghanaians won’t pay taxes. They won’t pay bills. But they will bet their lives away! What kind of thinking is this?” he questioned.

Blakk Rasta argued that this attitude reflects a deeper cultural issue of relying on luck instead of hard work.

“Everything in this country is based on chance! We don’t believe in science, in data, in planning. We believe that when we wake up, something will just happen. That’s why we are where we are!” he lamented.

He warned that if the trend continues, Ghana’s development will remain stagnant.

“A nation that depends on luck and ignores responsibility has no future! Wake up, Ghana!” he concluded.
