Why I rejected GHAMRO's GH₵500 royalties for my two hit songs

Highlife musician, Bisa Kdei has disclosed how he rejected an amount of GH500 from GHAMRO as royalties for his two hit songs, ‘Mansa and Brother Brother’.

During an interview on Angel FM, Bisa Kdei recounted how he received a call from one of the members of the Ghana Music Rights Organization to visit their office for Gh500 as royalties for his two songs.

According to the musician, during those seasons, his two songs, “Mansa and Brother Brother’ were the reigning songs hence he anticipated receiving a huge amount of money from GHAMRO as royalties only for him to receive a call to inform him that his royalties for this two songs was GHc500.

“When I got the call from GHAMRO about the royalty for my songs, I asked the caller, how much the money was and he responded; GH500. I got angry and asked them not to call me again and I hanged up” Bisa Kdei recounted.
