Why I won’t announce guest artistes for my #shadesoflove concert

Highlife musician Akwaboah has disclosed why he will not announce other artistes who will be performing at his Shades of Love concert.
According to him, he has had experiences in the past where artiste were publicized but failed to show up for the event.
So as not to look as if he is deceiving the public with the name of an artiste who may not show up for the event, he has decided to keep them as secret acts.
“I have had experiences in the past where I made guest artistes public and they failed to show up. Some even come for rehearsal but fail to show up for the event itself. People mostly buy tickets because their favourites are performing, so if I advertise names and some fail to show up, it may look like I deceived the public, so I’ve decided that I won’t make it public,” he said on Accra-based UTV.
Akwaboah’s #shadesoflove concert is slated for February 14, 2025, to celebrate love on Valentine’s Day at the Palms Convention Center.
