Why I won’t change my past – Sista Afia reflects on her journey and growth
Sista Afia recently sat down with Empress Gifty on the U Cook program to discuss the evolution of her music career and personal growth within the industry.
During the insightful conversation monitored by MyNewsGh, the Jeje hitmaker opened up about her fashion choices, her journey as an artist, and her plans for the future.
Reflecting on her past, Sista Afia confidently stated, “I have no regrets about my previous decisions, including the revealing outfits that once defined my image.
“Those experiences, both positive and negative, have shaped me into the artist I am today.”
When asked if she would alter any of her past style choices, Sista Afia replied, “I wouldn’t change anything.
“Everything I’ve done has contributed to my growth as an artist. It’s all part of the journey.”
The conversation also touched on her aspirations for future artistic collaborations, especially with male artists.
“I want to broaden my artistic collaborations,” she revealed. “I’m looking forward to working with male artists from different backgrounds to bring something new and exciting to the table.”
Sista Afia also addressed her openness to partnering with a record label, provided the terms align with her career goals. “I’m definitely open to it, as long as the partnership is beneficial and supports my vision,” she said.
