Why is Kumawood still in a coma if ‘Dumsor’ caused its collapse

Kumawood Actor and Politician, Michael Afrane is at a loss as to why those who claimed the collapse of Kumawood was directly linked to irregular electricity supply known in local parlance as ‘Dumsor’.
He disclosed that the reconstruction of the Kejetia Market and Dumsor experienced under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration was blamed for the collapse of the industry.
Mr. Michael Afrane however observes that power has since been stabilized since 2017 and the reconstruction of the ultra-modern Kejetia market is complete but that is not enough to resurrect Kumawood, wondering what the actual problem was.
“If Dumsor and the reconstruction of Kejetia market caused the downfall of the Kumawood Movie Industry, the industry would have been revived after the electricity and construction of the Kejetia market’ he observed.
“We failed to tackle and uproot the major problems which were collapsing the industry but we rather accused John Dramani Mahama’s administration because of politics”
Michael Afrane added “Actors who campaigned against former President John Dramani Mahama and NDC have regretted because Nana Addo has disappointed them with mismanagement of the economy”
“I can boldly say President Akufo-Addo’s government has failed to support the movie industry despite his numerous promises which forced some actors to campaign against former President John Dramani Mahama”
