Witches and wizards supported Portugal to beat the Black Stars
In the lead up to the 2022 World Cup fixture between Ghana and Portugal on Thursday 24th November, many predicted that the Black Stars were going to emerge victorious.
However, there were some Ghanaians who also expressed optimism that come what may the Portuguese national team will defeat their Group H counterparts.
The phenomenon of some individuals in Ghana who supported Portugal to defeat the Black Stars has been defined as witchcraft by renowned gospel musician, Empress Gifty.
According to the first gospel artist in Ghana to hit 1 Million followers on Instagram, it is witchcraft to support teams in Europe you don’t know but wish failure for the Black Stars.
Sharing her opinion about the match which ended 3: 2 in favour of Portugal, Empress Gifty wrote this on Facebook sighted by Amansan Krakye of MyNewsGh.com
“Definition of witchcraft is when you support teams in Europe u don’t know but wish failure for your own national team”.
Empress Gifty known in private life as Mrs Gifty Adorye is an entrepreneur and fashionista married to a popular politician and member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hopeson Adorye.
