You can’t bite the hand that fed you – Vim Lady to Captain Smart
Broadcast journalist Afia Pokua, known as Vim Lady, has strongly criticized her colleague Blessed Godsbarin Smart, popularly referred to as Captain Smart, for his comments about renowned business mogul Kweku Oteng.
Speaking on her Gyaso Gyaso program on Okay FM, Vim Lady described Captain Smart’s remarks as disrespectful and ungrateful, asserting that he had crossed a line.
Captain Smart, on his Onua TV show, insinuated that he was not like Kweku Oteng, whom he accused of engaging in dubious activities, including infidelity.
These allegations, Vim Lady argued, were unwarranted and unfair.
She reminded Captain Smart of the significant role Mr. Oteng played in his career, noting that the businessman had given him numerous opportunities and benefits that shaped his professional journey.
“Captain Smart, this behaviour is uncalled for,” she declared.
You don’t go around tarnishing the reputation of someone who gave you countless opportunities and helped you build your career.”
Vim Lady recounted how Kweku Oteng had supported Captain Smart during a critical period, including paying him for two years without requiring any work while he transitioned from Adom FM to his media conglomerate.
She emphasized that such generosity deserved appreciation, not public criticism.
“Mr. Oteng invested in you and gave you the platform to grow. How many employers would do that? Gratitude is key.
“You can’t bite the hand that once fed you and expect to thrive.
This attitude will only damage your credibility,” she added passionately.
