Young man reveals why he’ll never step foot in Church again
A Ghanaian young man has taken to social media to pour out his heart and reveal the reason why he will never step foot in Church again after a bad experience.
The young man in his mid-20s said that he believes that having a relationship with God and also getting your prayers answered is not about going to Church. He stated emphatically that one doesn’t need a church before he can worship God.
“I don’t know what will make me go to church. And I don’t need church before worshipping God. I can stay in my room and pray, God will listen to me”.
According to him, when he got admission to the Senior High School, he was supposed to pay GHc535 as registration fees, however, he was able to raise GHc300 and was unable to resume the next term because he needed an extra GHS 235 to cover his school fees.
He revealed how his mother informed the church about their situation and requested a loan, but they refused, despite his mother being an active member who cleans the church, and him being an instrumentalist and a Sunday School teacher.
“My mother informed the church about my admission fee. My mother was an active member and also joined the church workers to clean the church premises. I was also an instrumentalist and a Sunday school teacher. The church leaders kept postponing the payment, deceiving her with motivational messages.”
He explained that because the church refused to help, he was not able to enrol during the first term and emphasized that he was still hurt by the actions of the church.
