Your 9ja colleagues are topping charts while you beef, fake- Afia Pokua to Ghanaian musicians
Broadcast journalist Afia Pokuaa, known widely as Vim Lady has taken a dig at embattled Dancehall singer Shatta Wale and his colleague musicians for engaging in needless beefs and publicity stunts while their counterparts in Nigerian engage in productivity that has enabled them top charts and make much waves.
Taking on Ghanaian musicians in a Facebook post, Vim Lady stated that the entertainment industry in Ghana can employ a million people if taken seriously.
However, players in Ghana’s industry are jokers who focus on unnecessary beef and stories that will not allow for the forward march of the industry.
She cited an example with Wizkid and his records in the industry both locally and Internationally.
Adding that Tiwa Savage is also making great waves with her music career but similar cannot be said about the Ghana Entertainment Industry.
Her post which she shared on her social media pages read “Wizkid is topping charts with Justin Bieber, Tiwa is flying with Brandy, Burna boy is filling O2 arena and Davido is getting interviewed by Trevor Noah, Ghana dier, ‘BEEF’ &FAKE STORIES NKOAA. GH entertainment industry can employ more than 1 mill people if taken seriously but who be me#PRAY 4GH ENTERTAINMENT”.
Afia Pokuaa’s comments come on the back of Shatta Wale causing fear and panic that he was supposedly shot by an unknown assailant at East Legon which turned out to be a hoax.
The Dancehall artiste has since been arrested together with his PA and one other member of his team by the Ghana Police Service to assist in the investigation process.
