2021/22 Ghana Premier League: Asante Kotoko v Bechem United matchday 2 report

Asante Kotoko ended their second league game with all three points against Bechem United in Kumasi.

Upon their return to the Baba Yara Stadium, it was expected that the Porcupines please the fans with a comprehensive win and managed to get the job done with a 2-0 win albeit the struggle.

The two teams created some chances in the first half but none managed to find the net.

In the second half, Kotoko showed more purpose and were rewarded in the 87th minute via a Ganiyu strike.

Samuel Boateng gave the hosts a two goal cushion with a header in injury time.

Kotoko remain one of the best teams in the competition, clinching six points so far and placing first

Bechem United have been good so far despite the loss with three points.
