2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 19: Sulley Muntari nets winning goal for Hearts of Oak against WAFA SC
Veteran Ghana midfielder, Sulley Ali Muntari netted the winning goal for Hearts of Oak on Wednesday afternoon when he equalized from 12 yards to secure a 2-1 win for the team against WAFA SC.
The former AC Milan star since signing for the Phobians has been in fine form in the numerous games he has played.
In a matchday 19 encounter of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season today, Sulley Muntari started for Hearts of Oak when the team hosted WAFA SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
On the matchday, Kwadwo Obeng Jnr scored in the 46th minute to open the scoring for the Phobians.
Ten minutes later, the WAFA SC pulled parity when Derrick Antwi saw an effort find the Hearts of Oak net.
In the remainder of the game, there was a lot of action but the deciding moment came in the 75th minute when the home team was awarded a penalty kick.
Experienced midfielder Sulley Muntari stepped up and converted to seal a 2-1 win for Hearts of Oak.
This is the first time the player has scored for the Phobians since joining on a free transfer in February.
