2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 23: Legon Cities beat Ashgold 2-0 in impressive fashion

Legon Cities FC put up an impressive performance on Sunday afternoon to defeat Ashanti Gold SC 2-0 in the Ghana Premier League.

Nicknamed the Royals, the capital-based club in midweek fought very hard and held Aduana Stars to a 1-1 draw far away in Dormaa.

Having returned to Accra today, Legon Cities FC hosted Ashanti Gold SC at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

In a game serving as a matchday 23 encounter of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, the home team excelled and scored in both halves to cruise to victory.

On the matchday, Rahman Abdul and Michael Otuo scored in the 12^th and 82^nd minutes respectively to propel Legon Cities FC to the massive 2-0 win against Ashanti Gold SC at the end of the 90 minutes.

The win has seen the club climbing to 8^th on the Ghana Premier League table while the visitors drop to 13^th on the log.
