2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 3: Olympics defeat Legon Cities 1-0 after exciting contest
Great Olympics have picked maximum pints off Great Olympics after beating the side 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday night.
The two teams based in the capital today locked horns at the Accra Sports Stadium to battle for points on matchday 3 of the ongoing 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.
In a game where both teams appeared equally matched, Great Olympics had a small edge with the team’s attack thrilling fans with their display whenever the team moved forward.
With the lion’s share of possession at the end of the first half, the away team had the lead courtesy of a smart tap-in finish from in-form Maxwell Abbey Quaye.
Although Legon Cities FC will fight in the second half, the team lacked the firepower upfront and as a result had to succumb to a narrow 1-0 defeat to the self-acclaimed Accra Landlords at the end of the encounter.
