2021/22 Ghana Premier League week17: Match Preview – Ashantigold vs Bibiani Goldstars
Ashantigold will play host to Bibiani Goldstars in matchday 17 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday where both teams will battle it out for the points at stake.
The first round of the domestic top-flight comes to an end this weekend with Hearts of Oak and Kotoko game left to complete the first half of the campaign entirely.
The miners will hope to return to winning ways following their 2-0 defeat to the inform Bechem United.
Ashantigold were not at their usual best at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park and will try to make amends when they take on the Bibiani-based club.
The Obuasi-based club have won three and lost two of their last five games with their defeat coming against Asante Kotoko and Bechem United respectively.
Coach Henry Haeusler and his charges look set to beat Goldstars to convince their fans of making an impact in the campaign.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Premier League debutants who have shown glimpses of good performances will hope to climax the first half of the league with a win away.
Ashantigold currently sit 10th on the league log with 21 points whereas Goldstars occupies 13th spot with 19 points.
The much-anticipated clash has been slated for 3pm on Sunday at the Len Clay in Obuasi.
