Talented youngster, Maxwell Nii Abbey Quaye scored three time on Sunday evening to propel Great Olympics to defeat Accra Lions 3-1 in the Ghana Premier League.
Olympics last weekend commenced their campaign in the 2021-22 Ghanaian top-flight league season. In what was a game against RTU, the team conceded a late penalty and ended up drawing 1-1 with the opponent.
Today, Great Olympics played their first match at home when the team hosted Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Having dominated the first half of the contest, Great Olympics led at the break courtesy of a strike from Maxwell Abbey Quaye.
Although Richmond Tetteh Ankrah would equalize in the 57th minute to draw level for Accra Lions, Maxwell Abbey Quaye scored two more later on in the second half to seal a 3-1 win for Great Olympics at the end of the 90 minutes.
