2021/22 GHPL: Asamoah Gyan out of Legon Cities squad for upcoming season
Asamoah Gyan has been omitted from Legon Cities squad for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season which commenced on Friday, October 29, 2021.
Gyan, who joined the Royals prior to the start of last season, made only six appearances for the club having been hampered with injuries.
According to reports, the former Black Stars captain’s omission from the squad is to allow him to treat himself, and get back full fitness.
Coach Maxwell Konadu has named a 27 man squad for the Ghana Premier League season which includes all their new signings as they look to make an impressive start with a win over defending champions, Hearts of Oak.
Experienced striker, Hans Kwoffie, who joined Legon Cities at the start of the second round of the 2020 season is expected to lead the team.
