2021/22 GPL: Real Tamale United 0-0 Hearts of Oak- Match Report

Real Tamale United held Accra Hearts of Oak to a goalless draw on Matchday 17 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Coach Samuel Boadu handed Sulley Muntari his first start and made seven changes to the starting line up as he looked to bounce back from their derby defeat to Great Olympics last week.

But the Phobians were wasteful in front on goal with Isaac Mensah missing two glorious chances in the first half.

The Pride of the North run themselves ragged, fought for every ball, and gave every last ounce they had to earn a 0-0 draw against the defending champions at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Hearts had to play the final seven minutes of the game with ten men after Caleb Amankah was sent off for a second yellow card.

The Phobians are now eighth on the standings with 24 points, twelve points behind league leaders Asante Kotoko.

Hearts of Oak will have the opportunity to close the gap on the Porcupine Warriors when both teams square off next weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Super Clash.
