2022 FIFA WCQ: Black Stars have their destiny in their own hands – Frimpong Manso
Former Ghana international, Frimpong Manso believes that Black Stars have their destiny in their own hands ahead of their Group G decider against South Africa in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Black Stars will host Group G leaders Bafana Bafana today at the Cape Coast stadium.
Milovan Rejavac’s side needs to win by two or more goals in order to finish above South Africa on goal difference.
“There’s no need to talk to anyone if they don’t take their chances. There are players who play in Europe and when you check the situation playing against Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa this is the group we should have already qualified from easily. This is not the South Africa of our time but winning away game was even difficult,” Manso told Original FM.
“For me, I think they have their destiny in their own hand so they have to determine whiles we are once playing at home and at home you have to make sure that you win.
He added, “They should mount pressure in the entire 90minutes. If you don’t mount the pressure on them in the first half then the pressure will be on us in the second half. When it happens like this the home fans will not exercise patience.”
“This is a game they should determine themselves.”
