2022 FIFA World Cup: Portugal v Uruguay expected to highlight Ghana’s group

World football governing body, FIFA believes the clash between Portugal and Uruguay will highlight Group H when the 2022 FIFA World Cup commences.

Last Friday, FIFA held the successful draw for this year’s mundial at an event in Doha, Qatar.

In the end, Ghana was pitted in Group H alongside Portugal, former champions Uruguay, as well as Asian outfit South Korea.

Subsequently, FIFA selected the encounter between Portugal and Uruguay as the game that will highlight the group.

“After the group draw, we know which icon will clash in the group stage. One of the greatest scorers in history, Ronaldo will show off his skills in Group H. Here’s the challenge with Suarez, the best sniper in Uruguay’s history.

“Ronaldo played for Real Madrid from 2009 to 2018, and Suarez from 2014 to 2020 for Barcelona. Their meeting will bring back memories of Old El Clasico,” FIFA explained.

This year’s world cup is scheduled to be played between November and December.
